This month we hit our half way point of our mission, nine months in and nine months to go. Some days we felt like it could never happen, but it has and we look back thinking of how blessed we’ve been. The reason we have been sent to Vlorë Albania is to start a Young Single Adult Center and to get it up and running. Yesterday some of the supplies arrived with the Office Elders to help to put them together. It was a very happy occasion with the hum of happy workers and then the noise of happy players. There were a lot of e-mails phone calls and meetings before even getting these supplies approved. And it is very exciting to see that the equipment is mostly here at the Center and will greatly improve the center.
At the center we have 6-13 Y.S.A. attending and now with the new games it should be fun to see those numbers increase. The members and friends seem to be lingering longer to enjoy each others company and to play the game of Uno. I wonder if we will get Uno out of the closet for a while now with the Ping pong and foosball table and also volley ball for trips down to the beach. We will keep you updated with how the center is growing.
