Slip Sliding Away

After a night of snow, what is there to do the next day, but go SLEDDING!?! As you can tell, we had a wonderful time, wipeouts and all. Lilly was a little afraid, especially since you had to bail at the bottom before you hit the fence. No serious injuries, though. Makes ya a little jealous, eh?

Snow Fort

Jayson, Jayna and Bryce spent the last 2 days making one of Jayson's dreams come true. They built an igloo. It is so awesome. Wish you were here in person to sit in it and see how big it is. They did such a good job. Well, I guess the photos can speak for themselves.

What I did on my last trip to the Philippines.

I took off Saturday for a fun adventure!
After a 4 hour car ride across the beautiful country side outside of Manila, I hopped on this boat for an 1 and 1/2 hour boat ride in the middle of the night. Once we arrived at Puerto Galera island they let down a small plank and we walk off into the sand. The they through out bags into the sand.

Here is a shot of the town.

Here is a picture of the bus/taxi I took around town. It is called a Jeepnie. I wonder if Uncle Stan rode this on his mission??

I also went snorkeling. The corral reef was awesome!

You could never do this in AZ, fun in the Snow!

Tonight the kids and I had a great time building our first igloo! As you can see the Smith kids did some some handy work. And there is not trick photography, we are all in the igloo and Kenna would have been if she did not have to take the picture. By the way it only rains here is Seattle it never snows!

Too Many Pies = Big trouble at the Smith's House

Thanksgiving dinner at the Smith's house got out of control. Too bad you missed this one! Maybe next time you will make it up here for the food and fun!

Snow Daze!!!

Last night we got over 6 inches of snow!! So school is cancelled and Jayson can't get to work. There are 71 public school districts closed today! Last night people were on the road trying to get home for over 6 hours, so they all just abandoned their cars and walked home. The freeway is filled with abandoned cars! It was crazy!!!

And the Rain, Rain, Rain Came Down Down Down

Well, it's raining, it's pouring here in Washington. Not a complete surprise, eh? Except that it's flooding! All the rivers are swelling up and they are having record flooding here in Washington, and it's only been raining for 3 days! I'm surprised - it's like people have never seen rain before. The line to drop the kids off at school today was 3 times longer than ever, and all the roads are filled with water. It rained every day in January this year, but it only took 3 days to cause this much flooding. They say Snoqualmie Falls is roaring! So, needless to say, we are having wet fun! The kids have the rest of the week off, so we will have to find ways to stay dry. Hope you have a great Veterans Day.

We are fine, btw. We are on high enough ground that we haven't been affected.

Burnout Revenge

So Jayson and I just got this amazing video game called "Burnout"! It is so incredible. The point of the video game is to cause the biggest crashes, or in races to takedown your opponent in a incredible wipeout! It's awesome! Anyway, we've been staying up late playing it lots and lots, and I realized it's affecting how I drive. Last night, while Jayson was coming home from work, he got into a car accident. He rear ended a tow truck - (worth 7800 points, of course). So, I think we need to take a break from the video game, don't ya think?

*Disclaimer - Jayson did not intentionally rear end the tow truck. This description was exaggerated for humor. Both cars are fine. But we are sad our Saturn is crunched (thank goodness, not the Denali). There were no injuries.

Candy Overload

Here are some pictures of our kids in their costumes. The best part of our Halloween evening was a work party we went to. There was free dinner (pizza and all the chocolate milk our kids could drink), face painting, cupcake decorating, costume contests, and a haunted house. Wish you could have been there. Then we got to go around to everyone's cubicle and "trick-or-treat" for candy. Sure beat going out in the freezing cold!
