The Vlore center for young single adults is humming with happy voices. Most of the responsibilities for activities at the Center is being done by member s of the Vlorë Branch Young Singles. Also they want to linger longer and gather to learn, have a fun and play games.
On Saturday the 15 of January 2011 we had a successful event learning about Italy and having a taste of Italian food. The evening started with games that were directed by our most recent returned missionaries. They both served their missions in Italy. The room was so full that they had to move chairs from another room & some tables to the kitchen area in order to play the games. There was a lot of noise and action going on with the first game and it was a big contrast with the next game which was the spoon game.
After the games they blessed the food and enjoy their meal of spaghetti, pesto bow tie pasta, garlic bread and orange Fanta. When most had eaten they had a slide show on our computer, of picture taken by Enea Rrokai who answered many questions about Italy and his mission. Enea served in Rome Italy and was able to personally attend the ground breaking ceremony for the Rome Italy Temple. Prophet Monson was in attendance and took part at the ground breaking. After the slides they still lingered longer with a fun game of Uno cards and a small dish of Gelato, an Italian ice cream.
